Transferring M-pesa money to bank accounts in Kenya is an everyday transaction done by Kenyans since it relieves people of the hustles and charges involved in visiting a bank branch and not forgeting the boring long bank queues.

After doing a bit of keen observation on the Mpesa to bank transactions platform, we found as 'Loans Kenya' that the process involved in transferring money from an Mpesa account to a bank account is the same for all commercial banks with changes only applicable on the Paybill and Account Numbers.

How to send Mpesa Money to Bank Accounts. 
Steps;

  • Go to Mpesa Menu
  • Go to Lipa na Mpesa
  • Select Paybill
  • Enter business number (this is where you'll enter your bank Paybill number)
  • Enter account number (this is where you'll enter your bank account number)
  • Enter amount
  • Enter Mpesa PIN and press OK
  • Verify entered information to be correct and press OK


Mpesa Hakikisha 
Very important! Always confirm that the information regarding the recipient is correct. If the recipient details are correct,simple ignored the received notification.If the information is incorrect, enter option 1 and press OK to cancel the transaction.

Conclusion 
Provided that your bank has a Paybill number,you can send money from your mpesa account to your bank account.

Note;The most important thing is to know the bank's Paybill number for example 522522 is the Paybill number for KCB and 247247 is the Paybill number for Equity Bank.Get the full list of Paybill numbers from the Safaricom Website.
