If you're an active borrower, your Credit Report changes so fast with new information being added as you continue interacting with lenders.

A Credit Report is a vital piece of information about how you interact with the lenders in terms of taking and repaying your loans.

But how frequently should one check his or her Credit Report from the Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs)?

There are three licensed Reference Bureaus in Kenya namely Metropol CRB, Transunion CRB and Creditinfo CRB.

According to Metropol CRB, whichnis the most established in the country,  an active borrower needs to check his or her Credit Report atleast after every three (3) months.

This simple means you'll need to check your Credit Report atleast four (4) times in a year.

This is very important because atleast you can identify any errors in the report which you can dispute early enough to avoid negative effects on your borrowing.
