This is why Kenyans are leaving Safaricom

Safaricom PLC

Safaricom is still the biggest telco in Kenya compared to other telecommunication companies including Airtel and Telkom.

However, according to a recent report by the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) the telcos regulator,  Safaricom voice market share dropped 2 points from 67.1 percent to 65.7 percent.

This drop was as a result of some customers opting to use Airtel network to make calls and for longer duration at an average of 4.0 minutes on-net. For this reason Airtel voice market share increased by 1.7 percent to 30.9 percent.

It is clear that Airtel and Telkom are changing much less when it comes to voice calls  and its exactly what is making Kenyans migrate from Safaricom.

Safaricom however is still the better option when we try to consider other services including Mpesa and stable internet network.
