Elimu Scholarship Program a government of kenya initiative in partnership with Equity Bank will send 9000 beneficiaries to form one this year.
Being the first attempt and managed by experienced Equity Bank Group, Elimu Scholarship is a two year test program targeting 18000 beneficiaries.
The government through the ministry of education trusted Equity Bank with the program because the bank had and is still running a successful scholarship program dubbed 'wings to fly.'
According to Equity Bank ,the Elimu Scholarship program attracted 38000 applications from students out of which 9000 were chosen.
The Scholarship beneficiaries came from over 110 sub-counties and 15 urban informal settlements all over the nation.
