Top digital money lenders in the country have officially launched a lobby group named Digital Lenders Association Of Kenya (DLAK).
DLAK is meant to promote best practices in the digital money lending market through Code of Conduct and also to easy coordination with the Kenyan government.
The Central Bank already raised concerns over how some of the loan apps work and fear it may not be safe for Kenyans.
Founding members of the association include; Kuwazo capital, Tala, Stawika,Lpesa,Zenka Finance ,Kopacent, Okolea,Shika (Alternative Circle),MyCredit ,Finance Plan Limited , Mobile Financial Solutions (MFS) and Four Kings Investment T/A Sotiwa.
