CBK opens Kisii Currency Centre

The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has launched a new branch in Kisii County dubbed the Kisii Currency Centre. 

The Currency Centre is meant to serve the people of the South Nyanza region which provides around 12 percent of the country's GDP.

The new Centre which was launched by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta will eliminate transportation of currency from Kisumu where the nearest CBK branch is located.

Central has other branches in major towns in the country including Eldoret and Mombasa as Nairobi serves as the CBK Headquarters.
