How to apply for WEF loans 

Previously,wef loan application involved filling in online application forms or visiting the nearest Wef office.

Today,to apply for a wef loan you simply use USSD Code*254# to register and apply for the women loans.

In addition to applying for group loans, wef also allows individual borrowers to apply for loans.

What are wef loan requirements

To qualify for WEF loans, you must;
  • Be a woman
  • Be 18 years and above
  • Have a valid National ID or passport
  • Must be in a registered group (chama).
  • Must have a M-Pesa number active for more than six months.
  • Must have a business or want to start a business

Wef loan limits 

Loans from wef ranges from ksh 50,000 and above. For example tuinuke loan product amounts ranges from Ksh50,000 to ksh750,000.

Wef loan interest rate is 3.5% per year and a service fee of 2.5%

Remember*254# is the same USSD Code for Hustler Fund another government loan service for all Kenyans above 18 years.
