Surepay is a payment system which enables the send to track the money sent and as spent by the beneficiaries.
In order to track money sent HELB has chosen Surepay to disburse funds to student beneficiaries.
Surepay HELB partnership has made it possible for students to access loans via M-Pesa.
A student's approved HELB loan will be sent via surepay to M-Pesa and the student beneficiary will then be able to withdraw the funds for use.
To be sure your loan have been disbursed, you must receive a Surepay message to your Safaricom HELB registered mobile phone number. See example below:

Once received, a student can then go ahead and withdraw the funds using any of the HELB approved methods - M-Pesa app or USSD code *642# .

Hello. The upkeep funds have been paid. Please wait for the sure pay sms to access the funds using Mpesa App or *642#.
Many have asked about surepay HELB registration and login but actually as a student,you don't have to register to surepay. HELB will do.
About surepay app in Kenya - currently there is an app on Apple app store for iPhone users and another on Google play store for Android smartphone users.
