Faulu MFB has exposed a fake page posing as the microfinance bank known as Mkopa Haraka - Faulu Online Loan.
Many people are desperately looking for easy money due to the hard economic times created by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Faulu is a licensed and regulated microfinance Bank doing legitimate banking and lending business in the country.
Here is the message exposing the fake Scammers online;
Kindly take note of the scam page below using the Faulu name to defraud customers. Faulu has an official Facebook page which has a blue tick as a badge. Any page or group apart from this that uses Faulu name to ask for money from clients in order to apply for a loan is fake. In addition Faulu Microfinance Bank has no product known as Mkopo Haraka. Kindly stay vigilant.
Customers need to be vigilant as there have been a rise in the number of online loan Scammers.
The DCI have been apprehending some of the fraudsters doing harm to Kenyans online pretending to be giving out loans.
