Safaricom Remembers Bob Collymore with Touching Message

Safaricom is celebrating former Chief Executive Bob Collymore who passed away last year after a battle with cancer.

Bob Collymore took over ten years ago from Michael Joseph the former Safaricom Chief Executive. Bob led the telecommunications company for nine good years and took Safaricom from success to success.

Currently led by Kenyan born Peter Ndegwa who is now the current Chief Executive Officer ,Safaricom wrote a touching message showing how grateful the company is for having Bob as the head for those nine years. Here is the message;

A year ago, today Bob's light left us.While  it was a sad and difficult time for all of us,we take courage that his dream of doing business for good lives in our work,our customers and our vision.

Bob lived a purposeful life. He touched and teansformedmany lives within Safaricom, Kenya and beyond.

Thank you for your time with us. Your legacy lives on and will never be forgotten.
