How Employers can Pay Staff NHIF Contributions via M-Pesa

Employers can now pay their staff NHIF monthly contributions easily and conveniently via M-Pesa Paybill number.

This is highly recommended by NHIF as Kenya and the rest of the world is recommending staying at home and keeping distance to flatten the COVID-19 curve.

As required by law, employers are mandated to submit NHIF contributions on behalf of their employees.

In that regard, here is a simple way to do so via M-Pesa;
First you need the staff eSlip number, then follow these steps below;

• Go to Mpesa menu 
• Select Lipa na Mpesa 
• Select Paybill 
• Enter business number 200222 (This is NHIF Paybill number)
• Enter account number (here enter staff eSlip number)
• Enter amount (here enter the contribution that staff is supposed to pay) 
• Enter Mpesa PIN 
• Confirm and send 

It's that simple. You can do this without visiting any NHIF branch and it's even highly recommended especially during this Coronavirus pandemic.
