Absa Bank Kenya Tuesday donated 21,000 face masks to help frontline medical workers and all supporting workers in fighting COVID-19 at the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital.
Out of the 21,000 face masks, 1000 were KN95 type while 20,000 were of type 3ply.
The masks were part of the 210,000 face masks the bank donated and promised to hand over to various major hospitals in the country including; Kenyatta National Hospital, Mbagathi Hospital, Coast General Hospital and Kenyatta University Referral Hospital.
The bank already donated a total of 75,000 face masks to Kenyatta National Hospital last week. Out of these , 50000 were type KN95 while 70,000 pieces were of type 3ply.
Absa as a responsible lender also donated 70 umbrellas to Gigiri police station yesterday on Monday to help police officers in their day to day work during this rainy season.
