Absa Bank Kenya Friday donated over 200,000 face masks to various major hospitals in the nation to help with Coronavirus fighting.
The bank gave 200,000 (3ply type) face masks to caregivers and support staff and a further 10,000 (N95 type) masks for medical workers.
The benefiting health facilities include;
- Kenyatta National Hospital
- Mbagathi Referral hospital
- Kenyatta University Referral hospital
- Coast General hospital
The bank in March together with other lenders regulated by the Central bank of Kenya promised to give borrowers loan holidays up to 1 year, remove bank to mobile transfer charges among more measures to cushion Kenyans affected by the COVID-19 negative economic impact.
