Members of the Digital Lenders Association (DLAK) announced a fee waiver a move aimed at cushioning borrowers from the COVID-19 pandemic negative impact.
Up to 17 loans apps understand that the virus has led to loss of jobs and closure of businesses, therefore its likely borrowers will never manage to pay loans the normal way.
Kenyans using the member apps will receive communication about the same independently from respective loan apps.

There are already over 3million defaulters as reported by CRBs and over 50 percent were negatively reported by loan apps.
