Lender Gives Loan Interest Payment Holiday This Coronavirus Pandemic

Mwananchi Credit, one of the best non-deposit taking microfinance lender in Nairobi Kenya is giving one month interest holiday for both new and existing loans.

Monsay, Mwananchi Credit Boss, Dennis Mombo said in a statement this and more other measures that will enable customers sail through this bad economic times caused by Coronavirus outbreak.

Here are the emergency measures taken by Mwananchi Credit

  1. The lender is open to customer who would wish to restructure their loan facilities. This applies to all loan products including, logbook loans, invoice discounting, asset finance, check off loans and trade finance. Each customer's case will be dealt with independently. 
  2. Mwananchi is giving a one month interest payment holiday to apply to all up to date loans and even fresh applications. 
  3. The lender has introduced 'Weekend Loans' to existing customers to help deal with any unforeseen short term financial issues. 
  4. Mwananchi has introduced an online loan application portal and an app to help customers apply for loans from anywhere and at anytime.
