Okoa Mia provides quick loans over any mobile handset regardless of whether it's a smartphone or a feature phone (mulika mwizi / kabambe) .

As the name suggests ,the lender used to give ksh 100 (mia in Swahili language ) as loan but have since increased the limit to ksh900 .

Getting Started with Okoa Mia Loans 

For a start, a customer will get Sh 100 and with time grow up to Sh 900 which is the maximum loan limit for now.

• First you need to register by dialling USSD Code *628#
• Pay some acceptance fee ranging from ksh5 to ksh45 depending on the your loan limit .If you don't qualify for any loan, your acceptance fee will be rejected therefore you won't loose money .
• Pay to paybill number and account number is your ID number 
• Now dial *628#  and you'll be able to choose the amount you wish to borrow and will be deposited into your Mpesa account within 5minutes.

Repaying Okoa Mia Loans 

All Okoa Mia Loans are repayable within 5 days at an interest rate of 10% . Paying late attracts a late repayment fee charged everyday.

• SelectLipa na Mpesa 
• Select Paybill 
• Enter business number 519608
• Account number is your ID number 
• Enter loan amount to repay 
• Enter PIN and submit
