The Court Of Appeal cleared the way for Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to proceed with the process of making new generation bank notes available for use after being halted in April .
Through a press release, CBK confirmed that it will now proceed to cooperate with De La Rue International Limited in printing and supplying the new bank notes which are in line with the new constitution of Kenya.
CBK was to provide Kenyans with the new generation bank notes by September 2017 before the process was challenged in court under grounds of sweet heart deal between the bank's regulator and De La Rue money printing company.
