KCB,through the KCB Foundation is currently welcoming 2017 scholarship applications from KCPE 2016 needy but bright students from all the 47 counties in Kenya.

This year the lender will be sponsoring a total of 240 students from all counties in Kenya out of which some will be students with disabilities.

Who Qualifies For the KCB Scholarship

  • The applicant must come from a needy home
  • The applicant must attain the prescribed County Cut off marks(see below) in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination
  • The applicant must have a calling letter to a national or county/ex-county secondary  school


What KCB Scholarship  entails:

  • Payment of school fees for the 4 years of secondary school
  • Support for personal effects, learning materials and assistive devices for students with disability
  • Quarterly one-on-one mentorship sessions with KCB branch staff and an annual holiday mentorship program
  • Mentorship and Internship opportunities during and after the university studies


County Cut off Points

KCB grouped counties into three classes each with a different cut off point.See the groups below;

390 Marks Group

Students from these counties must have 390 marks or above to qualify to apply.

Candidates from these countie must have attained 370 marks or above to qualify to apply.

How to Apply for KCB Scholarship

To apply for the KCB Scholarship,a parent or guardian must fill in the scholarship forms and take them back to any nearest KCB branch.
