How to Pay NHIF Monthly Premiums

Quick ways to submit NHIF monthly premiums?How to send money to NHIF Insurance as premium?The voluntarily subscribed National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) product consumers who include self employed and the retired Kenyans, mostly ask for the ways through which they can submit their monthly insurance premiums to the National insurer.

Voluntarily consumers can submit their premiums to the insurer monthly through the two ways below without considering the customers' bank.Note that some commercial banks can help in sending premiums to NHIF.

M-pesa to NHIF 
This is the most used way to pay your premiums to NHIF.
Steps;
To pay via your mobile phone (enabled with Mpesa service) follow these simple steps:

•  1.Select the Pay Bill option
•  2.Enter Busines no. Type in 200222
•  3.Enter contributor's National Identity Number as the account number
•  4.Enter the amount you wish to contribute
•  5.Enter your Mpesa Pin.
•  6.Confirm all details are correct then press OK.
• You will receive a confirmation SMS from Mpesa immediately.

Jambo Pay  

Voluntarily contributors can visit the Jambo Pay website (www.jambopay.com)or download the Jambo Pay app.On the website or on the app,find the NHIF among the companies and select it.Now easily pay your premiums right away.

Note that employees of companies and the government are mandatorily subscribed as NHIF members and  don't need to use the above methods of payments. The employers do it for their employees.
